Men’s Indoor Track & Field earns four All-PAC awards

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (February 28) – Waynesburg University's indoor track & field teams collected earned three all-conference honors at the 2024-25 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Championships at the Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site on Thursday.

All-PAC honors are awarded to athletes and relays who finish in the top three at their respective events at the conference championship meet. The Yellow Jackets had one conference champion, one runner-up and one third-place relay at PACs.

Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa / Bishop Carroll) turned in a record-breaking performance to claim the PAC title in the shot put. He became the first Jacket in program history to break 15 meters with his opening throw and saved his best for last with a 15.17 meter distance in his final attempt. Each of Harker's four measured shot puts would have won the event title and his final distance ranks second in the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region.

Harker added All-PAC Honorable Mention status in the weight throw as he set Waynesburg's program record of 14.40 meters on his final toss of the day. He placed third, just a centimeter behind Westminster's Jack Crider for second place.

Quintin Weaver (Rimersburg, Pa. / Union) collected All-PAC Second Team status in the 800 for the second-straight season. He posted a season-best time of 1:54.71 to finish as the runner-up to Geneva's Kevin Arseneaux by 0.18 seconds. Weaver's time is the second-fastest in team history and ranks sixth in the region.

Waynesburg's 4x400 relay group of Dagyn Williams (Leslie, Ark. / Marshall), Noah Jones (Rockville, Md. / Sandy Spring Friends), Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway) and Weaver earned All-PAC Honorable Mention status with a third-place finish in 3:30.80. The quartet's time is the second-fastest in Waynesburg history and ranks 19th in the region this season.

Adam Helbling (McDonald, Pa. / South Fayette) and Megan Barry (North Huntington, Pa. / Norwin) represented Waynesburg on the PAC Sportsmanship Teams.
