NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 12) – The Waynesburg University outdoor track & field teams competed at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets contended with a large field of over 20 teams from NCAA Division I, II and III and notched multiple notable results, including a meet title, top-five finishes and conference-ranked marks.
Grace Tanksley (Bedford, Ind. / Bedford North Lawrence) claimed the meet title in the women's 10k with a personal record time of 39:19.12. Her effort ranks sixth in program history and second in the Presidents' Athletic Conference this season.
Erin DeLong (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) placed third in the 10k in 43:29.38.
Quintin Weaver (Rimersburg, Pa. / Union) placed third of 66 competitors in the 800 in 1:59.23. In the 5k, he was 16th of 35 competitors in 16:34.45.
Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway) placed third in the 400 hurdles in 59.36.
The women's javelin unit turned in a standout day with two top-eight finishers.
Natalie Double (Portersville, Pa. / Slippery Rock) placed fifth at 36.48 meters and
Megan Barry (North Huntingdon, Pa. / Norwin) followed in seventh at 35.12 meters. Both throws achieved season-highs with Double's mark ranking third in the PAC this season.
Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa. / Bishop Carroll) was eighth in the discus (40.33 meters) and 10th in the shot put (13.58 meters).
Maggie Clair (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan) placed 15th in the shot put at 11.03 meters.
DaGyn Williams (Leslie, Ark. / Marshall) was 14th of 34 finishers in the 400 in 53.69. Noah Arterbery (Gainesville, Va. / Gainesville) set personal records in the 100 (11.66) and 200 (23.61) with team season-best times in both events.
Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran) notched a PR in the 1500 in 4:24.69 to take 22nd in a field of 56.
Chloe Fields (Linesville, Pa. / Conneaut) notched a PB in the 1500 (5:21.75) to finish 23rd of 43 runners.

Aaron Sanders (Peters Township, Pa. / Peters Township) and Williams finished fourth in the 4x400 relay in 3:39.80.
The Jackets return to action on Wednesday's Grove City Mini-Invitational.
