WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 3) – The Waynesburg University women's golf team began its spring season at the Grove City College Women's Spring Invitational at the Grove City Country Club on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets finished 11th with a team score of 501 strokes. Westminster took home the team title with a score of 332.

Maeve Hanley (Punxsutawney, Pa. / Punxsutawney) led Waynesburg in the 60-woman field. She tied for 32nd at 100 strokes.

Abigail Noble (West Alexander, Pa. / McGuffey) finished tied for 49th, Julia Clement (Johnstown, Pa. / Westmont Hilltop) in 57th and Sara Otto (Frostburg, Md. / Mountain Ridge) in 60th.

Waynesburg competes at the Peter C. Rossin Memorial Invitational at the Southpointe Golf Club on Monday.
