YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Feb. 26) – The Waynesburg University men's indoor track and field team traveled to Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) on Thursday to compete in the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships. Another outstanding effort in the shot put from junior
Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa. / Bishop Carroll) highlighted a 10
th-place showing in the team standings.
Harker won his second-straight PAC indoor title in the shot put with a heave of 15.53 meters, a distance that was nearly a full meter ahead of the second-place performance. The standout thrower added two more team points to the Jacket total of 17 with a seventh-place effort in the weight toss (13.72 meters).
Sophomore
Michael Wines (Hamlin, W.Va. / Nitro) chipped in a point to the team total by taking eighth in the long jump thanks to a leap of 6.31 meters.
Moving to the track events, sophomore
Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran) took seventh in the mile with a mark of 4:27.63. Waynesburg matched that finish in the 4x400-meter relay. Junior
Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway), junior
Noah Jones (Rockville, Md. / Sandy Spring Friends), senior DaGyn Williams (Leslie, Ark. / Marshall) and senior
Dequan DeBauche (Brookfield, Wisc. / Brookfield East) combined to post a time of 3:29.29.
Geneva won the team title with 113 points.
The Jackets will compete indoors one more time this year when they travel to Ohio Northern University's Polar Bear Final Qualifier on Saturday, March 7.
