GRANVILLE, Ohio (Feb. 7) – The Waynesburg University men's indoor track & field team traveled to Denison University on Saturday to compete in the Bob Shannon Invitational. The Yellow Jackets placed seventh in the 12-team field with 38.50 points.
 
Below are some of the top Jacket performers of the day:
 
400 METERS
DaGyn Williams (Leslie, Ark. / Marshall): 5th place – 52.84 seconds *5th in program history
 
3,000 METERS
Ethan Wilson (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Redeemer Lutheran): 12th place – 9:28.17 *7th in program history
 
4x400 METERS
Kyle Casella (Clarksboro, N.J. / Kingsway), Noah Jones (Rockville, Md. / Sandy Spring Friends), Michael Wines (Hamlin, W.Va. / Nitro), Williams: 2nd place – 3:33.77 *3rd in program history
 
HIGH JUMP
Marcus Crum Jr. (Warren, Ohio / Warren J. Harding): 5th place – 1.80 m
 
LONG JUMP
Crum: 4th place – 6.18 m
Michael Wines (Hamlin, W.Va. / Nitro): 6th place – 6.15 m
Jones: 10th place – 5.92 m
 
SHOTPUT
Jacob Harker (Lilly, Pa. / Bishop Carroll): 4th place – 15.17 m *1st in program history
 
Case Western Reserve took the team title with 108 points. Waynesburg returns to competition on Friday, Feb. 13, when it competes in the Ohio Wesleyan Open.
