TRAFFORD, Pa. (Sept. 14) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team swept a pair of non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) games this past week and a big reason for those wins was junior defender
Abby Ngugi (Jefferson Hills, Pa. / Thomas Jefferson). Ngugi was recognized for her efforts by being named PAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player, Goalkeeper of the Week.
Ngugi led a Jacket defensive effort that allowed just two shots, neither on goal, during a 4-0 win over La Roche on Tuesday. She recorded her first collegiate goal during the 41st minute of Waynesburg's 3-1 victory over Baldwin Wallace on Friday. Ngugi and the Yellow Jacket defense limited BW to six shots in the second half as Waynesburg protected its two-goal lead.
